Faith is more than positive thinking, and more than putting forth great effort to attain something. Faith is a totally relying on God, depending on His faithfulness and trusting in His promises, and realizing we cannot depend on ourselves. It is not a means for us to accomplish our will but to complete God's will in our lives. It's not about us; it's about having the ability and opportunity to tap into God's immeasurable resources to accomplish things on His behalf and for His glory. If we have talents and abilities they are given to us by God to be used for His purpose. Some of the most discontented people I have met in my life are those who have ignored the call of God in their life concerning their God given talent and ability. They are placing their faith in themselves and other things and unless Jesus is the focus of their faith it is all in pointless. Faith is trusting in what we can't see and maybe what we can't even imagine. We are certainly imperfect but we can trust in our Perfect God. Prayer Jesus, you are the center of my faith. When I face the impossible I trust in you. Never let me lose sight of the fact that it's not at all about me but about accomplishing your will through my life. I can do all things through Christ regardless of what comes my way. I obediently surrender to your will and place my faith in you today. Life without you is worthless. Teach me to do your will, take hold of my hand and take my life where you will, You are my God. Thank you Jesus! Amen.
