Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Psalm 51:10

Change doesn’t come easy for most of us, and rarely instantly, but is instead a steady process of commitment and determination. Our actions are the result of our thoughts and attitudes. They are created by our life’s experiences, some good and some bad. In order to become “Christ like”, some of our attitudes and thoughts need to be changed. The “If you can think it, you can achieve it" theory is true, but is also dependent on who is shaping your attitude and thoughts. If we are sincerely committed to becoming “Christ like”, then we must make choices, as He leads the way, we must make a conscious choice to follow His lead. Believing and embracing His word as the treasure it is; listening and responding to the sound of His voice and trusting in faith, in His ability to complete the change within us.

Prayer

Lord, I commit all that I am to You today. I make a choice to embrace Your word in faith, and trust in Your ability to do a great work within my life. I am listening for the sound of Your voice and eager to follow Your instructions. Renew my heart and mind. Create this life in Your image and for Your glory. Amen.
