Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22

Sometimes I think, how wonderful it would be to be young again; it doesn’t take long for those thoughts to fade, as I am reminded of the heartache and pain that came with growing up. There were many mistakes, yet with each one God’s hand extended, offering a fresh start on my journey. With each new step I think, I become a little closer to the person He desires me to be. Although I have no desire to relive any of those life lessons, I do cherish them. I cherish the lessons learned, the one’s that are now engraved upon my heart and the close, intimate time spent in the presence of God, seeking comfort and counsel that could only be found in Him. If we give God our mistakes, He miraculously transforms them into a thing of beauty. Our souls do wander off the right path from time to time during our life, but God’s gentle hands of love and compassion, are continually nudging us back on course.

Prayer

Thank You for Your great love for me, for loving me when I wandered off the path and didn’t obey Your voice. If it were not for Your love, mercy and compassion, my mistakes would have consumed me. You have shown me that You are all I need. You have been faithful and I thank You for each new morning. Every change within me is a result of Your love, compassion and mercy. Continue to make changes and create my heart and life to glorify You. Amen.
