God Today Devotions

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trails, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete lacking nothing.
James 1:2-3

So much of the time we begin our prayers with whining and complaining, about our needs or situation, instead of praying with faith, anticipation and thanksgiving to God, for what we know He is about to do. It is difficult to face bad situations with joy. We must remember that God is compassionate, and desires to meet our every need. He hears our prayers, and knows before we even begin to ask. In order to drive a car, we must pass a test and obtain a license, to prove that we have the ability, to handle the responsibility of driving the vehicle. If we want to walk in faith instead of simply talking it, then we have to pass the test. The test of our faith, that produces in us, the resolve that will see us through, and generates a faith that is not swayed by circumstance, and believes beyond what is seen, to what will be. God is not moved by our begging and pleading, but by our faith the mountain is removed.

Prayer

Help us to count it all joy in every situation and problem we face, knowing that you are working, to create lasting benefits in us. Make us complete, not lacking anything. We choose today, to believe in your word and not doubt in our hearts. We thank you for hearing and answering, our every prayer. We give you all the glory. Amen.
