God Today Devotions

Be strong in
the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God,
that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Ephesians 6:10
Opposition comes to our lives from many different directions. But God is
greater than any situation we may face. Our defense is Jesus Christ; we
are His righteousness and covered under the blood He shed. We need not
seek revenge, but only truth. We love and strive for peace, in place of
hate and bitterness. The Holy Spirit gives us counsel and wisdom and all
we need in the heat of the battle. He comes with a flaming sword and
cuts through the darkness. There is no greater authority we can seek or
that will prove stronger and surer, than the One who hears and answers
our prayers. When the enemy comes at us with all that He has, we don’t
need to fear, but simply run to our source, Jesus Christ. It is through
Him, we will see victory in each situation. He exposes every scheme and
tactic and renders them useless.
Prayer
Awaken us Lord, and prepare us for battle; we ask You Holy Spirit to cut
through the darkness, allowing the light to shine and expose every
scheme and every tactic of the enemy. May our lips continually sing
praises of Your truth and goodness. Our enemy will not prevail against
us; we seek Your counsel and in Your righteousness and truth we stand.
The victory is Yours Jesus! Amen.
