Man shall not live by bread
alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
Matthew 4:4
The times we live in are serious times. It is time to wake from our
stupor and to desire to grow in the wisdom of God. We walk around
spiritually in a state of unconsciousness. It is time to push the
milk away from our mouths and say to our Father, I am ready for the
main course. Bring on the meat. There is plenty at His table, and
there is no need for us to walk away hungry and unfilled. We need to
be filled with His word and armed and ready for battle, spiritual
battle. We can't afford to sleep any longer. We can't afford to
continue to live according to our carnal nature, giving into to its
every whim, but instead seek a spot at His table and feast until we
are filled. Yes, its time to get past the bickering and
discontentment and to be busy doing our Father's business; which is
living love, shedding light, giving hope, and sharing Jesus with a
famished world.
Prayer
We seek a place at Your table Lord. We have tasted of Your goodness
and desire more. Give us wisdom, change our hearts and teach us Your
ways. Prepare our hearts for the main course. Fill us until we are
overflowing. Let it spill out all around us and be a beacon of Your
love and goodness for all to see. Amen.
