Turn us back to You, O Lord, and we will be restored.
Lamentations 5:21

Each of us is able to testify, about the great and wonderful things God has done. The real question is, what He is doing today in our lives. Somewhere along the way, we have failed to recognize the subtle changes, which have caused us to drift off course. We attend church on Sunday and feed on His word daily, yet somehow it continues to lay dormant and half dead in our souls. Yes we need revival; each of us awakened and restored, to the place God desires us to be. A place where the word of God becomes alive and active in our lives, applied to each experience and need, and deeply rooted. We must first repent of our slothfulness and neglect, admitting that we are the problem, not God; asking Him to once again make us the salt that preserves, instead of adding to the growing decay. We are the light of the world and our life will be different from the world and make an impact on the world, when it reflects His light.

Prayer

Forgive me Lord, as little by little, I have not even been aware of how I have drifted off course. I seek Your face and direction. Instruct me and place me back on my course; purify my heart and help me to be the salt that preserves and the light that reflects You. Amen.
