“Can anyone hide in secret places so that I cannot see him?” declares the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth?”
Jeremiah 23:24

In today’s society, there is an ever increasing unwillingness to take responsibility for one’s own actions, but instead to place blame on someone or something else. It is a feeble attempt to evade and avoid any repercussions. God understands and sees all. We can’t hide our actions, or our motives from Him, nor should we want to. Hiding them only serves to entangle us, once again in the chains of deceptions and sin that keeps us bound. The fact is, we can be honest with God. He is the One who knows and understands us, better than we do ourselves. When we enter into a relationship with God, there is freedom to be who we are, all pretence set aside. If we will embrace and face the truth about ourselves, although it can be quite uncomfortable, we will experience that freedom. He takes our mistakes, our attitudes, and even the insincerity of our hearts and changes them, once we admit and submit them to Him.

Prayer

Give me the strength to face the truth and to take responsibility for my actions. Forgive me for attempting to make excuses and place the blame for my mistakes and faults on others. I don’t want to hide anything from You. I cannot hide anything from You and I choose instead to run into Your arms of grace and mercy. Thank You for loving and caring for me so. Amen.
