But you are my shield around me, O Lord my Glorious One, who lifts up my head.
Psalm 3:3

We all have problems in our lives, some big and some small. The key to overcoming them is maintaining our focus and dependence on God through them. He is the ultimate problem solver. Instead of tearing us down, He lifts us up; our hopes; our attitudes; our moods and our hearts. He encourages us to keep moving forward. When in the middle of a problem, begin to reflect on the good things God has done and the wonderful blessings in your life. Meditate on His word and listen, for He longs to speak words of life into our situation. Praise Him when you can’t figure out how your problem will be resolved. We need God, as much as we would like to be independent and self sufficient we are not. It is not a shameful thing to be dependant on the God who created the universe and has knowledge that far surpasses anything in this world. He is dependable and we can trust Him to show His love and kindness towards us. Our problems require Gods attention and direction. David placed His trust in God for his recovery. He had failed and done wrong, but He trusted God and His knowledge and wisdom to solve his problems and sustain him.

Prayer

Whatever today holds I know You will give me the ability to overcome. You will be my refuge, my strength, my deliverer, and my shield. Speak Your words of life to my soul. It is Your counsel and direction that I seek. My expectations are from You and I thank you for all of the blessings in my life, which are certainly more numerous than I deserve. With all that is within me, I praise Your Holy name! Amen.
