Before the mountains were
brought forth, Or ever You had formed the earth and the world, Even from
everlasting to everlasting, You are God.

We can find ourselves getting pretty steamed, about those who offend our
beliefs in God. Sin is sin, a lie is a lie, and the truth is the truth,
they are unchangeable. A quick glance at this world, offers plenty for
us to be offended by. The blatant disrespect and hate for our God,
usually will get a rise out of us. We give a similar response, when
someone speaks against our family, and those we love. We love God, our
relationship with Him is an intimate and personal one, and we take it
personally, when He is attacked. What we must remember is that God is
God, He created all, He knows the thoughts, and dreams of those who are
offending. He loves and understands them. While His heart breaks at
their rebellion against the truth, His love remains for them. The truth
is not changed by the lie, or the offence. The truth does not require a
defense, it simply is and it will stand. Our hearts possess the truth of
Jesus Christ. We can be confident in that truth, and stand firm in it,
as we share it with those who have yet to see, hear, and understand.
Prayer
You are God, You have always been, and always will be; all has been
created by your hand. Fill my heart and mind with Your truth; let Your
truth, love, mercy, and compassion flow through my life towards all
Enlighten the hearts of those who do not believe, those who are
stumbling in the darkness. Holy Spirit, speak the truth to their hearts;
give them understanding and flood their souls with Your love, in Jesus
name I ask, Amen.
