The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart
trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give
thanks to him in song.

Of all of the people and acquaintances in my life, there is no one who
knows and understands me better than God. The slightest whisper of
distress and He is there. He understands more of what is going on in my
life than I do myself. He sees and understands what others may never
know. There are times when I can’t seem to sort out all the details and
simply don’t understand, I may be feeling so overwhelmed and too weak to
muster even a simple prayer, yet God hears beyond my words and reads my
heart, understanding each disappointment, joy and sorrow. He doesn’t
expect me to put my feelings into proper words, but simply surrender
them to Him. His love and compassion will reach deep into my soul and
mend the brokenness, refresh my spirit, and renew my mind.
Prayer
I thank You for hearing the cries of my heart. When I can’t find the
words, I know that You understand perfectly. Your ears hear beyond mere
words and reach my need. You are my truest and closest friend. Thank
you, Amen.
