Blessed by the Lord, because He
has heard the voice of my supplications! The Lord is my strength and my
shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped.
Psalm 28: 6-7
If God did not hear the cries of my heart, I would certainly sink into
the pit of destruction that surrounds me. But I can be confident, He
indeed hears my cries and is in the process of answering. He is my
constant companion that walks with me, talks with me and tells me over
and over that I am His very own. He enables me to continue to stand,
regardless of how huge and rough the waves that rock my world. When
those waves feel as if they are about to consume me, He draws me near;
under His wings to a safe and secure place where He teaches me His ways,
and gives me the wisdom and the strength to face the situation head on,
and to overcome. There will always be those who fail us, disappoint us,
and hurt us, but God's love is constant and He is faithful. His mercy
and grace has brought me this far, and the same mercy and grace will
lead me successfully to the finish.
Prayer
I thank You for hearing the cries of my heart. If it were not for Your
mercy and grace I would be consumed. You are my constant and faithful
companion. As I take refuge under Your wings, place Your song in my
heart; fill it with Your peace and joy; instruct my steps and give me
wisdom and a renewed strength, to stand in the midst of any
circumstance. With You by my side, I know I can successfully finish the
course You have set before me. Amen.
