Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him.
Psalm 62:5

There are many who deal with emotional hang-ups from past experiences. Their days become flooded with memories, that haunt and prevent them from seeing themselves as God sees them; a new creation. They have lost the ability to love themselves, let alone believe in their hearts that God, creator of all could love them. Nothing could be further from the truth; God loves us all. He is always merciful and ready to extend His hand of grace towards us. Regardless of how damaged your life has been in the past, with God there is always a new morning. He is ready to embrace you; heal your wounded heart and mind; restoring life to your soul. We need to embrace God, as the loving caring Father He is and put aside our own distorted perceptions of Him. Open up God’s word, you will begin to learn of His consistent character, the mercy of His heart and His unconditional love. Allow the truth of what He is, to sink deep into your soul.

Prayer

Lord, help us to receive and embrace Your love, give us the ability to see ourselves through Your eyes of mercy and grace. We thank You for the new life You have given, for extending grace and accepting us just the way we are. Help us to realize, we are a new creation, being formed by Your hands. Help us to realize our potential in You. Continue to change our hearts and lives, creating us in Your perfect image; that we may fulfill what You have purposed for our lives. Amen.
