As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Psalm 103:12

When we ask for mercy and forgiveness, we receive it. God actually puts up with quite a bit from us. He created us and certainly understands the frailty of our human nature. God forgives, and restores us. We on the other hand are not always as forgiving of ourselves or others. We all have something in our past, which if paraded to the world would cause us humiliation. It is a good thing that God does not parade our sins before the world. He removes them, and casts them away. He forgets, and so should we. You may have spent years in disobedience and rebellion, and traveled a rather rough and bumpy road before arriving at the conclusion, that you needed God in your life. It is in this place, where you heard a quiet voice, whisper your name, with hands extended, picking you up, brushing you off, and embracing you. The scars from the past are covered in the love of Jesus Christ, and will never prevent any of us from being in His service.

Prayer

Lord forgive us for judging others, and ourselves according to the past. You have extended mercy to each of us. You have cleaned us up, and prepared us for Your service. Give us the wisdom, courage, and strength to accomplish all that You have purposed for us. In Jesus name, Amen.
