Looking diligently, lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up, trouble, and by it many be defiled.
Hebrews 12:15

The greatest bondage in this world is the bondage we create ourselves because we won’t let go of resentment, and bitterness. It begins to grow inside us as judgments we make on others, but is not content to remain in that state. It grows steady yet slowly creeping its way into our hearts and choking out the life and love from within. It drains our strength and unsettles our spirits. It is only by the grace of God and His mercy and compassion towards us that we are not destroyed. If we will release our emotions, and begin to share the same mercy and compassion we have received with others the chains that have captured our hearts will break and we will be free  to experience God's peace and joy to the fullest.

Prayer

Lord, uproot the bitterness and resentment that has weaved its way into our hearts. Help us to release all of our feelings and emotions to you. We have embraced your grace, and mercy, give us the wisdom and strength to see others through your eyes of grace and to share what we have received, in Jesus name, Amen.
