God Today Devotions

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all truth.
John 16:7

Just when we think we are doing all the right things and everything in our lives is cleaned up nicely, the Holy Spirit will reveal to us an area in our lives that needs change. He brings the stained areas of our hearts directly to the surface, forcing us to see them. Once the Holy Spirit initiate’s the change, it is then up to us to actually do something about it. It’s not an easy thing to face the truth about ourselves, but if we want to continue to be transformed into the image of Christ, change must occur. God is prepared to do the most difficult part, He expects us to listen and to follow His instructions, allowing Him to implement the change within us. The moment that we begin to believe that we have arrived, is the very moment we will cease to grow.

Prayer

We are continually in need of Your guidance, renew our minds and teach us your ways. Reveal to us any area in our life that is not pleasing you. We desire to grow in truth, help us to obey and to follow where you lead, in Jesus name we ask, Amen.
