Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Psalm 100:4-5

Pure worship is what God desires. Whether one voice or many united, regardless if off key or on, worship begins as a song rising from within our hearts, which captures the attention of the heart of God. Other times, words are inadequate to express the love and gratitude we feel, the expression, whether verbal or silent is received with delight. Worship leaves us soothed; moved; broken, and yet at the same time, renewed with a hope that assures us, that the long darkness of the night, will soon be transformed into the morning light. In the midst of our worship, we become absorbed with God’s character and attributes. Our perspectives are changed, and rearranged. The knowledge that we will live in the presence of God for eternity, becomes a reality. Nothing in this world has escaped his attention, so our worries, fears, and frustrations can be safely placed in His care. It is a pure exchange, which satisfies our deepest needs, and allows us to love God and receive His love in return.

Prayer

Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty! Your presence demands Holiness, we confess our sins, and ask for your mercy and forgiveness. This life is a mist, that will pass quickly but in Your presence, we desire to live forever. Help us to put aside all that hinders us from Your perfect will. Help us to remain focused on our path, the path that will lead us home to You, In Jesus name, we ask, Amen.
