My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.
Psalm 62:5

Prayer is simple, honest communication with God. It not only sets the stage for our day, but carries us through it. We discover our world from God’s perspective, which is always more hopeful than what we may see. God is not in a hurry. The most important part of prayer, is listening and refraining from rushing into His presence, reciting a list of requests, and leaving before we have even received a response. We are relaying our needs, but removing the reins from God’s hands when we don’t take the time to listen and receive wisdom and instruction, that will enable us to follow His agenda for our day instead of our own. When we wait and listen we can expect great things.

Prayer

Help us Lord to be patient, and to trust in Your ability and wisdom in all things that concern our lives. We humble ourselves quietly in Your presence, and wait for Your wisdom and instruction. Amen.
