He shall feed his flock like a shepherd; he shall gather the lambs with his arm.
Isaiah 40:11

Regardless of our need, whether financial, physical, or spiritual, God is our provider. He does not hold back anything good from us. We can occasionally lose sight of the bigger picture and become disappointed and disillusioned when we don’t receive what we feel we should. We feel God has let us down and didn’t quite come through as we had expected. Some may be ashamed to even admit that they have felt this way, but God already is aware of how we feel. He desires that we trust in His wisdom to provide all that is good in our lives, whether we have the ability to see it that way or not. To know deep within our hearts that He will never leave us or forsake us. He is always right there with us, even in the midst of our disappointment. He longs to gather us up in His arms. He has loved us since before the foundations of the world. He has begun a good work within each of us and we can trust Him to finish it. Although life occasionally catches us off guard, God is never surprised. He is always there, always hears, and never forgets us.

Prayer

I am thankful for all the many blessings You have brought to my life. You have however witnessed my disappointments; I cannot hide them from you. Forgive me for the times I did not trust in Your ability. I know that in all things, my best is what you desire. I trust you to fulfill in my life, all things according to your will and your purpose. Flood my soul with your love; let me not forget, that each day with You, is one filled with joy and hope. Amen.
