Let
this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form
of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself
of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the
likeness of men.
Philippians 2: 5-7
Watered down religion; appeasing hardened hearts; scripture being twisted
to justify sin and condemning all and any who oppose; those who have
grasped the truth, yet exploit it to obtain monetary gain and fame. What
is happening? Are we embracing the truth of Jesus Christ, or are we
embracing the latest trends and fads that we have created within our own
religious walls. God does not change but I believe we may be. Just
possibly we have forgotten the true message of the Gospel and the love of
God is shining ever so dimly within our hearts. We are servants of God.
When we love, and serve our fellow man we shine much brighter.
Prayer
Remind me today that my life is about living daily, with my heart consumed
with Your love, and a desire to share the truth of Jesus Christ and to
serve my fellow man any way I can. I desire my life to illuminate Your
love. Forgive me for embracing other things and seeking comforts and
pleasures. Remind me I am Your servant, in Jesus name, Amen.
